The Master of Business Administration degree program is designed to give you the tools you need to master the business world. The graduate program was developed to serve working professionals who want to study and earn a graduate degree that includes practice and training for applied settings at worksites along with academic studies.
MBA courses are based on strategic management and marketing principles, advanced data and business analytics, and organizational behavior in management and business. You'll apply and integrate these skills through projects, case studies, and presentations.
The graduate program builds your foundational and core skills and includes concentration courses to develop deep expertise in your chosen area of interest. The MBA program in San Diego, California, or online offers two tracks:
- The Professional MBA track is designed for working students interested in positioning themselves for business leadership. Courses are offered on-campus in the evenings and include three professional practicum courses.
- The Practical Training MBA or CPT track is ideal for working professionals and international students focused on career advancement. Courses include CPT training and are taught online and on-campus with monthly weekend courses.

Internship, Practicum, and/or Dissertation Information
Students are required to participate in the internship series as part of their experiential learning within the program. The internship is designed to develop professional practice-related skills in student’s program expertise through a variety of work experiences that could involve independently conducted professional projects or an internship. This is designed to provide students with in-depth, supervised practical learning experiences. The internship required may be prior to one academic year in the program. As a result, international students completing the internship series prior to one (1) academic year should contact the International Students Office for details and specialized requirements.
