Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) Finance
In this concentration, you'll build the theoretical foundations and gain the hands-on experience you need to excel in the financial services industry. In fact, many of our students go on to pass all three CFA-level examinations.
We emphasize experiential learning, so you can bring new concepts directly from the classroom to your workplace. As a result of this broad preparation, our alumni are spread across many big-name firms and companies such as Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Johnson & Johnson, and Prudential. And we keep the entire program, offered on campus and online, streamlined to just 40 credits.
Curriculum
With a focus on an ethics-centered education, our M.B.A. starts with a core curriculum that covers accounting, economics, the behavioral and quantitative sciences, and the functional areas of business.
To round out your business education, you'll select several electives from a field in the M.B.A. curriculum other than finance.
At the end of the program, you'll have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained and consult with an actual client in our M.B.A. consulting course.
Expect small class sizes and dynamic lectures and discussions with faculty and industry professionals. Many of our students, guest lecturers, and adjunct faculty come from the New York metro area's leading companies, infusing each classroom with their unique perspectives and expertise.
Center for Securities Trading and Analysis (The Trading Room)
A vast financial resource network, the Center mimics actual trading room activity that occurs in investment banking: up-to-the-second, market-clearing quotes and the latest global market data and news on frequently traded securities, including stocks, bonds, commodities, and currencies.
Program Faculty
Many of our full-time faculty have attended top Ph.D. programs and are in demand as lecturers, consultants, and media experts. Stillman School faculty provide an academic experience characterized by high faculty-student engagement, often partnering with students on research and other projects.
