Weatherhead School of Management offers a full-time STEM MBA which prepares future leaders to leverage their advanced quantitative and analytical skills to solve contemporary issues in business. Technologies emerging in business, such as Fintech, Blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence, are incorporated in the curriculum. Additionally, the STEM designation allows international students to apply for a 24-month extension to their optional practical training (OPT) period.
Curriculum Tailored to the Marketplace
Weatherhead’s full-time MBA curriculum ensures graduates are poised to enter the workforce with the skills they need to succeed in today’s business world. Our curriculum includes concentrations in finance, operations, and marketing, Organizational Leadership, Healthcare Management, Business Analytics and Design, Innovation & Entrepreneurship. The flexibility of the curriculum allows students to customize their curriculum to best fit their career interests and needs.
Because the demand for more experts in big data is on the rise, Business Analytics is a core course in the full-time MBA curriculum. MBA candidates will learn how to transform big data into key insights as well as manage analysts who provide findings that drive decisions. Having the skills to interpret analytics will put students in a position to shape the way an organization moves forward.

Weatherhead is also home to the Fowler Center for Business as an Agent of World Benefit. The Fowler Center's vision is to advance the scholarship and practice of flourishing enterprise. As a student in the four-semester, 60-credit-hour, full-time MBA program, you’ll partner with faculty and staff to create a personalized learning plan with distinctive concentrations, choosing electives that comprise half of the program of study to complement the core curriculum for an integrated and focused MBA. Your learning experience will be rooted in the foundational management principles necessary to lead with confidence, paired with customization in your areas of interest to establish you as a distinctive, confident candidate for job placement upon graduation.
Students will select one concentration consisting of four courses in one of the following core areas:
Design and Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Distinctive Classroom Experiences: First Year
Leading People and Organizations (LEAD): Discover individual management strengths and weaknesses through a series of self-assessments, experiential activities, and case studies on the team and group dynamics. Your assessment results will help you develop your personal learning plan, heighten self-awareness and become a more effective leader.
Integrative core curriculum: Master the core areas of accounting, finance, business analytics, marketing, operations and supply chain management, statistics and decision modeling, and economics.
Business Analytics: Learn to transform big data into smart insights and sharpen your analytical skills for application in both operations and marketing.
Design and Sustainability: Study the principles for building sustainable value and turning the social and global issues of the day into business opportunities, while discovering how to bring together changing technologies, capabilities, relationships, activities, and materials to shape an organization’s plans and strategies.
Elective Option: Start your concentration in Finance, Operations, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, Design and Innovation, and Entrepreneurship or Healthcare Management in your first year and prepare early for summer internships.
Distinctive Classroom Experiences: Second Year
The second year of the program is almost entirely dedicated to the students’ fully customized schedule of electives. Additionally, students take a capstone strategy class, the only required course in the second year. The course empowers teams of students to address the challenges of developing a business model for a company or organization.
Required course: Strategic issues and applications: Successfully implement strategy design in alignment with a firm’s external environment, its internal resources, and capabilities. You’ll practice applying an integrative view of a company or organization that spans functional areas such as operations, marketing and finance while drawing on a number of academic disciplines including economics, psychology, political and management science.
MBA Electives: You’ll take nine electives to develop a focus and specialization in one of our seven core concentrations. In partnership with our Career Management Office and your world-class professors, you can specialize your education to position yourself for ideal post-MBA employment.
Management in Practice: Not only will you will be able to concentrate in an area of your choice but you will have the opportunity to experience it through one of our electives such as Business Models; Six Sigma & Quality Management; Quantum Leadership; Leading Digital Innovation. You will gain distinctive tools and insights through applied projects while also sharpening your management skills.

GBSA and Student Clubs
The Graduate Business Student Association (GBSA) along with other student clubs provide opportunities for professional development, local community service activities, engagement with employers, and social gatherings such as cultural dinners, happy hours, and wine tastings with sommeliers.
Incoming students can run for a GBSA leadership position or join, revive or start a new student club with the assistance of the Weatherhead Student Experience Office.

Upload the required unofficial documents. If you are admitted and you matriculate, we will require your official documents then. Further instructions will be sent by email.
When your application is finished, click “submit” to pay your non-refundable application fee
After clicking “submit,” you will not be able to make any changes to your application form, resume, or essays, but you will be able to log back in later to upload transcripts and test scores. All required documents must be submitted in order to be considered.
Once your application is complete, you may receive an invitation to interview. Interviews are by invitation only.
Any application that remains incomplete at the end of the admissions period will be denied.
Full-Time MBA Application Requirements
When reviewing your profile for admission consideration, the Weatherhead admissions team requires the following (click each category for full details about the admission requirements):

Proof of English Language Proficiency (for applicants whose native language is not English)

Each supporting document must be uploaded to your online application for admission consideration. Some applicants require time to take the GMAT or GRE. Considering this, our team may interview applicants who have not yet taken either test (or who plan to retake a test for a higher score) but whose undergraduate transcripts and work history demonstrate high performance. Please note: An offer for admission cannot be extended with an incomplete application package. Weatherhead does not offer conditional admission under any circumstances. We reserve the right to deny admission if an application remains incomplete by the Round 3 deadline.
