Overview
The program with 3 specialization pathways in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Marketing and Digital Business or International Finance and Investment, thus offers students the opportunity to follow a contemporary curriculum to gain focused insight and skills in their chosen pathway in addition to key business practices. Real life case studies, data handling, projects and a business simulation competition ensure that the learning is applied and of real career value.
The program comprises one intensive study block of 6 months, full-time study, with 2 core managerial and 2 specializations subjects being studied in each quarter. This is followed by an optional paid internship period of 6 months in Switzerland or overseas, for students wishing to gain further work experience before proceeding on their career track.

Switzerland is world-famous for its high-quality service industries, financial sector and was ranked number 1 in the world in 2017 for innovation (WIPO, 2017). Paid Industry Placement in Switzerland
Depending on students’ prior experience, language skills and professionalism, a variety of placements across the core functional areas of the hospitality industry may be undertaken during stage 2 of the program. This will provide students with invaluable service industry experience and transferable skills, vital to so many industry sectors.
The industry training salary in Switzerland, negotiated between the employers’ association and the Employee Union is presently set at minimum CHF 2’168 per month gross. From this salary, students have to pay for room, board, and taxes. The average net income per month varies from CHF 1’200 to 1’400.
Entry Requirements
- RGU M.Sc. International Hospitality Business Management or Global Business Management or equivalent recognized Masters qualification
- English language skills at a minimum level equal to IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.
Course Times
Academic courses are held:
Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 12:00 and from 14:00 to 17:00, Saturday courses may be offered in some terms from 11:30 to 17:30.
Students should plan for 20-30 hours of homework and preparatory reading per week.
